Jennifer J. Finley has been representing injured people for over twenty years. She is a respected advocate and trial lawyer, representing clients who have sustained injuries as a result of automobile accidents, dangerous conditions on property, malpractice by medical providers, and employees who were injured at work.
Jennifer was born in a suburb of Chicago, but moved to the St. Louis area as a child and graduated from Kirkwood High School in 1976. After graduating from of Northwestern University, in Evanston, IL (B.A. History, 1980), she attended St. Louis University School of Law (J.D., 1986).
Jennifer successfully passed the Missouri Bar Exam in 1986, and she is admitted to practice law in all Missouri Courts, including the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Jennifer has tried more than twenty personal injury cases to jury verdict in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County and Jefferson County. In addition to her trial practice, she practices administrative law before the Missouri Division of Workers’ Compensation. She also handles civil cases and personal injury claims prior to suit, which may require mediation or arbitration. Jennifer has an AV Peer Review Rating from Martindale–Hubbell.
Jennifer Finley and Tim Gallagher first practiced law together in a small plaintiff’s personal injury law practice in St. Louis from 1996 to 1998. Since 1999, they have been partners in the practice of law and continue to assist injured people in claims against insurance companies, employers and other responsible parties.
Jennifer served as president of the Women Lawyers’ Association of Greater St. Louis (board member 1995–to 1999) and president of the Missouri Lawyers Trust Account Foundation (board member 1999 to 2004). She is also a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the American Bar Association, the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, the Lawyers Association of St. Louis, the Women Lawyers’ Association of Greater St. Louis, and the Mound City Bar. She was an instructor for the St. Louis Community College Legal Assistant Program, and serves as a volunteer for Legal Advocates for Abused Women (1996 to Present), Legal Services of Eastern Missouri (1994 to Present), and the St. Louis Crisis Nursery at Forest Park Hospital (2006 to present).
