Matthew R. Davis is an associate with the firm, focusing his practice in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability, ERISA/disability insurance claims and criminal defense.
A graduate of Truman State University (B.A., 1996 cum laude) and St. Louis University (J.D., 2006, member Saint Louis University Law Journal), Mr. Davis is admitted to practice in Missouri, Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
Matt started with the firm as a law clerk in the summer of 2005. He joined the firm as an Associate after successfully passing the Bar exam in the spring of 2006. Matt has practiced in the Courts on both the Missouri and Illinois sides of the Metropolitan area. He has successfully briefed and argued matters in the Federal Courts in Saint Louis. Just two short, but experienced filled years after becoming a lawyer, Matt was part of the trial team named by Missouri Lawyers Weekly as the number one "Plaintiff Powerhouse" for winning the largest jury verdict in the State of Missouri in 2008 and the largest personal injury verdict in the history of Saint Louis County.
Before starting his legal career Matt had ten years of corporate marketing and public relations experience as Director of Media Relations for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. His experience in the corporate world helps Matt to see the "Big Picture" for our clients.
Matt is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, the American Association for Justice, and the Illinois State Bar Association and the Missouri Bar.
Matt also serves on the board of the neighborhood organization for the Shaw Neighborhood in the City of St. Louis which actively works to bring about positive change in a historic and revitalized urban area of St. Louis.
